Cutting the sidewalls off the tires

You can cut the sidewalls from the tires. You may have seen them used as bases for the orange traffic cones on highways under construction.
We used them as linings for horse stalls so the horses didn't chew up all the wood.
In some states you can bring the cut tires to the landfill for disposal.
